Warhammer: The Horus Heresy: Journal Tactica: Zone Mortalis
Zone Mortalis conflicts take place in confined environments beyond the support of tanks or the reach of artillery fire, and often are inaccessible to larger war machines. Critical victories are won and crushing defeats are suffered within innumerable cities as the internecine war rages. The armies of Traitor and Loyalist factions lay waste to each other within fortress complexes and defence networks of thousands of beleaguered worlds, swept up in the maelstrom of Horus’ betrayal.
Combat in Close Confines
This Journal Tactica contains the Age of Darkness Zone Mortalis Core Rules and Clearance Protocol Mission Pack. These allow players to recreate the battles of the Horus Heresy fought within the confines of hives and hab-zones of many worlds across the Imperium. These rules give you new ways to play games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
This 48-page softcover supplement contains:
– Zone Mortalis Battlefields: Rules for the battlefields and terrain that characterise the Zone Mortalis, including Corridors and Chambers, Doorways, and Confined Spaces.
– Zone Mortalis Rules: Core rules and special rules needed to play games in these claustrophobic environments, plus rules for Zone Mortalis Reserves, Advanced Reactions, and Cogitator Terminals.
– Clearance Protocol Mission Pack: Rules for playing six new missions along with new Primary and Secondary Objectives, Primary Detachments, and maps.
– Additional Profiles: 5 new profiles that excel in enclosed environments. Veteran Breacher Squads and Veteran Despoiler Squads for the Legiones Astartes army list, Veletaris Raider Sections and Auxilia Combat Technician Sections for the Solar Auxilia, and the Castellax Infernus Maniple for the Mechanicum.
You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook, Liber Mechanicus, Liber Astartes, Liber Hereticus and Liber Auxilia, all available separately, to make full use of this gaming supplement.
